“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men” ~ Matthew 5:13 (NIV)
SALT is an annual conference with several regional gatherings. It is designed to encourage, challenge and release college and university students to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission on their campus. Students will share a few days of powerful preaching, teaching and worship with collegians from schools throughout their region. SALT conferences feature guest speakers who know how to connect with college students and God tends to show up in a really big way. There are countless stories of students receiving physical healing, deliverance from past hurts, a strength to forgive, restored hope, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and on and on…
And there’s actually a lot more to it than that. There’s something about going to SALT that’s hard to describe. You’re away from home, away from school, and off work for a few days. You and a few hundred other college students descend upon a hotel. Unless you really try not to, you’re probably going to have a great time. Going to SALT is an incredible opportunity to turn acquaintances into close friends (a couple dozen college students claiming a hotel lobby to play games until 2AM followed by various hallway conversations until 4AM tend to do that).
